A brilliant, two-way starter at wide receiver and defensive back, Steve Houle led the EAC and the Eastern Mass Div 3 in pass receptions in 1991 and 1992. The glue-fingered receiver was the perfect compliment to Attleboro's powerful rushing offense that roared to the Bombardier's first Conference Championship since 1971 and first ever Super Bowl appearance. Blessed with great physical skills the 6'2", 170 lb. basketball-star never stopped working hard at improving his pass catching techniques. As a junior, the versatile Houle caught 25 passes for 581 yards and 7 TD's, averaging 23 yards a catch, intercepted 2 passes, recovered a fumble and had 30 tackles.

As a senior, Steve caught 29 passes for 583 yards and 14 touchdowns, leading the Eastern Mass Div 3 for the second straight year. Defensively, Houle had 6 interceptions for 84 yards in returns. Steve combined poise and great athletcism in big victories over Stang and Durfee while scoring 3 touchdowns and gathering in 2 interceptions in each contest. In addition, Houle scored twice against Mansfield and Coyle-Cassidy.

Houle's outstanding football skills and accomplishments did not go unnoticed by his teammates and opposing coaches. He was a two time All EAC and two time All Sun District selection, a 1992 Division 3 Boston Globe All Scholastic wide receiver, and Bombardier's offensive MVP in 1991 and 1992.
