Biography

paul_oboy.jpg

Honorary member Paul O'Boy has been a towering presence in Feehan athletics since he joined the Shamrock coaching staff under Chet Hanewich in 1965. Two years later, at age 24 , he was named head coach, a job he has held with distinction ever since. Through all of the ups and downs of the intervening years, O'Boy has been a powerful influence on his youngsters, both as a coach and as the school's vice principal. An impressive 92% of his football players have gone on to college, and a number of them have made names for themselves on collegiate gridirons. A strong player himself at Coyle-Cassidy High in Taunton, Paul attended Providence College and kept his hand in the game by helping to coach his high school alma mater. Having had to cope with the constraints of a private school program , Paul has nonetheless turned out many outstanding teams and has served as a splendid role model for legions of young people now functioning in the community as caring parents and good citizens.
