In 1994 Matt Kraskouskas was a 5'9", 180 pound senior that could have been a legitimate alhstar selection at two positions while leading the Rocketeers to an 11-0 record, their first outright Hockomock League title in 18 years, and an EMASS Div 3A Super Bowl Championship.

As North's quarterback, Kraskouskas completed 56% of his passes for 895 yards, threw 17 touchdown passes, and rushed for over 400 yards and four more TDs. Defensively Matt led the team with 57 tackles, 15 assists, and 7 interceptions from his free safety position.

Like many great athletes, Matt saved his best efforts for the biggest games. In a battle of unbeaten teams in mid-season at Franklin, his rushing and passing accounted for 176 yards of total offense, 2 TDs, and a 2 point conversion as the Big Red overcame a 14-0 fourth quarter deficit to win 15-14. Meanwhile against Mansfield, Matt's defensive instincts accounted for 9 tackles and terrific pass coverage as the North secondary held the opponent's QB to just one completion in 15 attempts.

In a 47-29 Thanksgiving shootout against Attleboro, Kraskouskas captured the Balfour Trophy as the games most valuable offensive player by generating 223 yards of total offense, throwil1g 3 TD passes, and creating the game's most exciting play with a 29 yard scramble and lateral to teammate Brian Droney, who raced an additional 25 yards for a TD on the final play of the first half.

And finally, in the Rocketeers' 42-7 Super Bowl victory over Whitman-Hanson, Matt performed on both sides of the ball with 2 interceptions and 3 touchdown passes. At season's end Matt was named the Hockomock Leagues' Most Valuable Player, and he was chosen to numerous all star teams in The Sun Chronicle, Boston Herald and Boston Globe newspapers. Mter graduation, Matt later continued his football playing career at Brown University.
