Benjamin O’Donnell, a 2010 graduate of Attleboro High School, made a lasting impression on the school’s football program through his skill, leadership, and dedication. Ben was a powerful lineman who consistently dominated the line of scrimmage and always knew his assignment, making him a reliable cornerstone for both the offensive and defensive units.

As a sophomore, he earned a starting spot at left guard, quickly establishing himself as a reliable and hardworking teammate. In his junior year, he moved to left tackle and played an integral role in helping the team reach a 9-2 record, including key victories over rivals North Attleboro and Bishop Feehan. One of the highlights of his career came in 2008 with a 12–10 Thanksgiving Day win over North Attleboro. This hard-fought game was won in the trenches, ending a 13-year drought.

In his 2009 senior season, his defensive stats included 44 tackles and one sack. Beyond his performance on the field, Ben was widely respected for his character and leadership. Anyone who knew him could see his dedication to the team, his willingness to put teammates first, and his consistent work ethic during practices and games. He led by example and was admired by coaches, players, and peers.

Throughout his high school career, Ben earned numerous honors, including Team Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2008 and 2009, a 2009 Old Colony League All-Star selection, three-year varsity starter on the offensive line, two-year varsity starter as defensive tackle, and senior team captain.

After high school, Ben earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, reflecting his continued interest in health, fitness, and athletics. He now works as Customer Service Manager at ProphetX Sports Exchange.

Ben now lives in Attleboro with his wife, Sydney Rocha, and their children, Rowan (8) and Kayden (13). He remains active in the community and serves as a positive role model for young athletes. Benjamin O’Donnell’s story reflects the values of hard work, teamwork, and integrity, making him a deserving inductee into the Attleboro Area Hall of Fame.
